The Gemini System is your next step in reaching the Challenging Draconis System. The Gemini System has three planets related to the story line of the game: Prosperous, Commerce Central, Technatoria.
The Gemini System is a very Escort Oriented System a MASSIVE majority of the Story Missions involve another ship you need to escort around/to someplace even though some require you to find stuff there is still the addition of a ship telling you what to collect that you need to keep alive.
Prosperous is the ruined planet of the Gemini system in a mantis attack on Prosperous the mantis destroyed the radiation shield around the planet, and with out it the Prosperians began to die due to having to take the full force of the Gemini Systems binary stars radiation. Prosperous is most likely the first place you will see the instance of a mantis Death Squad (DS or ds) On Prosperous most Story Missions involve the three refuge camps that the surviving Prosperians have set up, ranging from escorting colonists to other types. Most of the Gemini System is getting the Prosperians back on their feet and helping them fight back the mantis. Till later when you meet someone who will fight and force back the mantis.
Commerce Central is the second planet related to the story line of the system. Commerce Central was a economy boosting planet of the trade based Gemini System until the Manits came and destroyed the place and left ruined of the once booming planet of money. On this planet you are introduced to Issak and Sara eventually. The two are very smart and have been living off of a food replicator and forging missions by either Issak or Sara. The Two are former members of Vendetta a group of people who fought against the mantis in the past, they are the last members alive. Issak is thrilled to help the people of Prosperous, he helps you clean there water and a few other things. Issak is a brilliant inventor and built a Self Destruct Device that will go off when his ship is near its end and will leave his escape pod unharmed you learn of this when you have to go find him. When Sara is kidnapped by the mantis he is enraged and starts to refit the Vendetta a ship that the group used against the mantis in the past and is kinda of strong, he asks you to find several things for him so he can make it strong enough to rescue his wife that you have previously learned maybe on Technatoria.
Technatoria is the final 'planet' of the Gemini story line. It is the toughest planet in the system. Two new mantis are added here Manits Pyro's which can light you on fire dealing heavy damage over a sort period of time using thermoblasts, Mantis Pyro's also have afterburner technology and Speed Accuator tech making them hard to out run and allowing them to use the thermoblast far more often making them a very deadly fragile for. Manits Paralyzor's which have powerful stun Dome technology which is like the stun charge but it is a Area Effect Stun if can stun multiple pilots at once and they can also use shields. Technatoria has no close energy fields to the LZ this is the first instance of this on a main planet, making hard for you if you do not come prepared with enough energy to get to the energy field your self. This is also the place where you fight Lord Vam Doom and obtain access to the Mizar system.
